Class of 1961 6th Grade
|
| Mr.
Swindell's Sixth Grade..(1)
This year, we made two class trips. The first
trip was to Ueno Zoo where we saw many interesting animals from
all corners of the world. The second trip was made to Haneda
Airport where we saw many airplanes and where people leave by
airplane for many places. There, at Haneda, we also saw the
places airplanes fly and were amazed at the short time it takes
for a plane to go around the earth. We were amazed at the huge
airplane motors and compared them with the electric motors we
had so much fun with in class later.

We had
two softball teams this year, the girls team and the boys team.
We also had a very good football team and a fine basketball
team.
Our newspaper was one of the most interesting things we
did this year. We hope to continue our newspaper work next year
in the 7th grade.

We had
fine class parties this year. They were wonderful and everybody
had fun.
We have had fun this year and will remember many, many things
from the 6th grade, but most of all we will remember the many
things we did together.
