This sketch was used in the 1956 Chochin as the inside front,
left and right covers. We've added the blue and red dots, which are 20
pixels apart, to aid in locating certain landmarks. Kathy
Bergt's (1958) name is inscribed to ensure that no one commits a
felonious disappearance act with her precious Chochin. [Factual
data, below, provided by Florence Bergt.] |

One of the 3 buildings in the lower right (a
double building and 2 rectangle buildings) housed the
Kindergarten. There also used to be a quonset hut which housed
the first TAC Shack.
The long green rows among the bushes to the
right of the playing field were the concrete seats on the hill
above the field. It was covered with a veranda of wisteria.
Some of these buildings housed different
grades in different years. For instance, in our first year
there, 4th grade, we were in the main building. But the next
year we were in the new elementary school building. After the
new grade school (lower left of picture) was built, the junior
high moved to the main building and it may have been used for
administration offices.
