Adams-Ask, Carol Margaret

Senior memory:

Industrious... "Little Buttercup"... Well, Mr. Tidgwell... "your write-up by tomorrow"…Hanabi, Hanabi, Hanabi...

Since then:

Hi to all you teenagers (well, that's what you were last time I saw you!).

I spent many years involved in various occupations and switching "environments". After graduating from Earlham College in 1966, I spent time as (1) correctional officer in California, working with drug addicts, (2) putting together leases for large size trucks, (3) proofreader for a typesetting operation, (4) cocktail waitress and bartender, (5) loan officer and loan processor for mortgage loan company, (6) high school teacher, (7) poker dealer in California and Las Vegas-and a few other minor careers. In 1977, my second husband and I decided to go to law school and I was admitted to the California Bar in 1981.

I suspect that my teaching genes won out over my "adversarial" ones because I have been teaching business law at the University of Hawaii since Fall of 1990-11 years on the job and still loving it. I have finally clearly found what I love doing.

My only daughter, Kelly, is married and lives in California-no grandchildren yet. My second husband and I split up in 1982, so my household is myself and my two kitties.

If you people -any of you- get to Hawaii, fly over to Hilo and we'll spend some time together.
