Clark, Frank H.

Senior memory:

Baby face … cupid … "Where's Jun?" … a squint …finally grew his hair …"Only a Renault" …has the widest grin.

Since then:

Following ASIJ, I attended Oregon State University. Upon graduation, the Army had a job for me as a 2nd Lt. stationed at Cape Kennedy, Florida. As a reward for doing such a fine job in Florida, my second year of service was in Tuy Hua, Vietnam. Following my two years of active service, I took up residency in Seattle and employment as a terminal clerk for the Port of Seattle. In 1993, I retired as Managing Director of the Marine Division (the seaport vs. SeaTac airport). It was a great job that allowed me to travel more often than I liked. Japan was on my itinerary several times a year. On one occasion in Tokyo, I had an enjoyable lunch with Jun. After a few months of retirement, I quickly realized that retirement wasn't really what I was looking for and so I joined an organization headquartered in Seattle that is a large privately held company operating marine terminals both in the US and overseas.

I'm married to a Pennsylvania farm girl, Peggy, and have one daughter and three (as of today) grandchildren. Until just recently, our most enjoyable pastime has been boating. Today, we are "boatless" in Seattle, but looking. Without the boat, we have had plenty of time to travel, which Peggy really enjoys.
