After graduation from college, I worked for Boeing in Seattle for a while before moving to United Airlines in 1967, as an engineer. I have stayed at United ever since. My current title is Director of Airworthiness and Regulatory Compliance. This means I am to insure that engineering and other technical actions result in safe operation, and that they meet government regulations.

I am married and have three children. Two have graduated from the University of California and the third one is still in the UC system. I'm living in northern California.
